Gold medallist from the Lille Music Academy and French rappers’ favourite pianist, Sofiane Pamart began his solo career in 2019 after having worked with urban artists such as Vald, Koba La D , Maes , Laylow , Isha , 7Jaws , Psy4 de la rime , Hugo TSR , Seth Gueko , S-Crew , Sadek , Guizmo , Mokless , Despo Rutti , Médine and Gaël Faye.
Throughout his years at the academy, he came across as spirited, strong-willed, hot-blooded and definitely defiant. He didn’t necessarily abide by academic rules and was capable of bursts of inspiration and creativity through his skill and natural virtuosity. He was destined for composing rather than performing the repertoire. Accustomed to prestigious venues such as la la Cigale , le Bataclan , l’Ancienne Belgique , le Cirque Royal de Bruxelles and le Trianon , Sofiane Pamart is to perform with Scylla - with whom he released a piano/voice album Pleine Lune - at the Olympia on 15th April 2020.
Half-way between classic film scores and adventure stories, Sofiane Pamart’s work is profoundly spirited and poetic. Dark and mysterious yet romantic, his contrasted compositions embody genuine emotion that can reach out to a very wide audience: masterful works accessible to all. Chosen as New Face of Luxury by the Paris Salon du Luxe in 2018, he is well-known for his exactness and high-quality work on images. He works regularly with designers and fashion houses. Criss-crossing elegant fashion and street rules makes him a unique musician, an haute couture pianist with a rapper’s mentality. Both an artist and an entrepreneur, Sofiane Pamart has set up a company in parallel with his solo career. Parisian-based incubator The Family hosts his startup called You Piano. He is also a producer and publisher with his record company 88 Touches Production . His first solo album released in 2019 is solo piano and was composed in different parts of the world.
